Powder Coating
Our factory powder coat line allows our customers to lower project cost, reduce project delays, and meet rigorous coating quality standards. We offer powder coating as a standalone service to original equipment manufacturers in the construction, architectural components, ornamental ironwork, and electronics industries. Our powder coating window is 1,066 mm (42”) x 1,447 mm (57”) x 2,997 mm (118”).
Our coating processes are closely monitored to ensure a high quality and durable finish every time. All process solutions are checked daily for conformance to rigid quality standards while every coated part produced is visually checked by the critical eyes of our trained technicians. Our custom powder coating quality system is registered to the ISO9001:2015 international quality system standard.
Powder Coating vs. other coatings
We powder coat over 95% of the metallic assemblies that we fabricate because of the high durability of powder coating. Typical powder finishes have a longer life expectancy than traditional coatings, such as galvanizing and zinc plating. Tru-Line recommended powder finishes have proven salt spray resistance results when applied to hydraulic tube assemblies from 500 to 1000 hours as tested by independent laboratories per ASTM B117.
Other benefits of powder coating include:
- High Corrosion Resistance/Superior Durability
- UV Resistant
- Thousands of Colors Available
- Process Certified by Original Equipment Manufacturers
- Low Cost/High Value Added
- Attractive Appearance
- Safe for the Environment
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
Powder paints and processes are more environmentally-friendly than other coating processes. Unlike traditional wet paints, waste powder from overspray can be captured, filtered, and mixed with new powder to be reused. In contrast, the waste streams associated with traditional plating and wet paint processes contain many harmful chemicals that must be disposed of using special waste treatment systems or by hiring a hazardous waste hauler who will transport the waste to a certified waste treatment facility. Powder coating eliminates the need for costly hazardous waste removal and the risk of environmental contamination.
